Quote for the Week

I've decided to start sharing one quote a week which has meaning to me, or just that I like! This way you are guaranteed at least one blog entry a week, lol. So today's quote:

"What we do for ourselves dies with us. What we do for others and the world remains and is immortal" by Albert Pines, English Author d. 1851.

With recent events regarding the tragic deaths of 3 young men I know, I have found this quote to be very meaningful.

Thanks for sharing that quote, it can help us all in our own lives to, I know it is so beneficial for me to step back at times and evaluate what I am doing with my time and what direction my life is heading. Love your blog. It somehow makes me feel connected to you again.

That's a very thought provoking quote, and I was sorry to visit your lovely blog to hear the bad news you recently had. Thanks for visiting my blog and sharing your childhood memories with us. You started off a chain of mine when I read some of your posts about visiting the Humber Bridge - I grew up in Hull, spent many a day skimming pebbles underneath the bridge (if the boys liked that it's worth taking them to see the Pier in Hull - great views of "the Deep" too, and spent many a day playing on the beach at Hornsea. Best wishes x

How tragic, I'm so sorry for your loss. That's such a powerful quote and certainly one to keep in mind. ;)
